Japanese-born SIENNÁ is an awake-walking daydreamer, a blurry contrast of multiple styles, a contemporary traditionalist, and a reflection of the modern crossover cultures.
Currently based in Oslo (Norway), she´s pursuing ‘no rules’ approach to writing avantgarde music, and to creating anything intelligently groovy, and something uniquely beautiful. No wonder she has been dubbed as „Asian Björk“ or „female Ryuichi Sakamoto“, mainly mixing Electronica, House, Jazz and Trad/Comtemporary Japanese.
After working with highly respected artists like Nils Petter Molvaer, Mick Karn, and The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, she has been known by those who are deeply into psychedelic artists with underground status. Now we already see that 2017 will be a busy year – as SIENNÁ has 2 releases and European tours scheduled.
In Germany, she made appearances at Jazz Boulevard Steglitz (Berlin), Focus Festival (Görlitz) and Musikmesse (Frankfurt). In the next week, she is back in Berlin as a DJ, offering pre-Christmas festive grooves at Mein Haus Am See on Thursday 22. December 2016.
