APLWAX006 Shortinfo: 22nd of July, that’s the release date of Apparel Wax’s 6th work on the catalogue. The masked hero comes back after the LP with a 3 tracks EP landing in the summertime and it’s yet again worth the wait, as it brings back hints of that nu-disco house music we learnt to love but together with a new touch.
“006A1” is the opening tune which is a funky view on the dancefloor with hints of blissful acid grooves and a meticulous structured arrangement, for club use only. „A2“ is pertinent to the mood of the side A and it’s a slower but solid groove with smooth vocals that come in without warning. A more classic approach to end the first part.
B side is surely a masterpiece, a 11 minutes track taking over the whole side with a trippy approach containing so many musical inputs; throughout the whole composition we can hear how scrupulous is the sound research that the artist made, from sound design, to sampling and structuring, and the groove itself exploding in a mix of world music-afrofunk-beat belter, with the vocals giving it a touch of a tribal dance. A track to remember which surely lifts the level of the whole EP. A track we are, amongst the others, proud to release on our own label (Apparel Music).

Apparel Music was created in 2010 following a quest for the most diverse musical styles. The need to explore this genre arises from the idea of bringing something new to the electronic scene. The two dogs in our logo are the yin and yang, day and night, good and bad, the contrast generated by everything… but above all love. Jazz becomes a way of reconfirming the most virtuoso elements of house music while welcoming the new sounds coming through on the international scene. The label’s founders want to explore a genre that combines dance music with jazzy sounds for discerning palates, or rather ears. Indeed only jazz beats can bring a more human dynamic to cold electronic music.

The main ingredient of this recipe called „Apparel Wax“ is quality music, without any compromise or distinction. Apparel Wax is the aka of an unknown/unanimated artist, brought to life by many talented international ghost producers who, from now on, will be pulling Apparel Music’s strings.
