HAAi announces the formation of her new label ‘Radical New Theory’, with first release from Dutch-Australian newcomer Ozzy.
Speaking on the release, HAAi said “Ozzy sent me a message online and I was immediately struck by the maturity of his unreleased body of work. The timing was perfect as it coincided with the idea of starting a label that would give exposure to new and unreleased artists. I’m stoked to have Ozzy as the first signing with his debut EP, ‘Een’.”
Ozzy explains that, “‘Een’ means ‘One‘ in Dutch, which is a testament to my first release as a producer. An ode in a way to my Australian/Dutch roots, all three songs were produced in either, or both, of my two homelands.” The experimental elements of Ozzy’s production are heavily rooted in old school 90s trance and techno, which he was first exposed to by his parents.
Ozzy has featured on HAAi’s Radio One Residency show and has also caught the attention of DJ and producer Barnt, who will release Ozzy’s second EP on his Schalen label later in March.
