Newly signed to hfn music, PaulWetz from the Black Forest areas of Southern Germany brings his singular, enchanting songwriting and production gifts to a new level for a new year.
The new single ‘Misfits’ marries thoughtful lyrics with production chops that rival some of his key influences – Aha and Depeche Mode included. Misfits was written in his friend’s home studio – an electronic take on what started out as an indie rock track. Built around a low slung bass line and a synth horn melody, Paul’s affecting vocals sit perfectly as he mediates on self confidence and accepting yourself. The charming music video premiered on Rockerilla.
