DARKER has mixed this to perfection, creating melodic breakdowns which precede dancefloor-designed drops. Being also a DJ, DARKER has put the EP together in the fashion of a track list for a party : it starts smoothly, with each of the 4 tracks building up the intensity to the most devastating effect !
After Jazz Club mixes house music with jazzy influences : the piano and instruments have been recorded in total improvisation. DARKER gives it the club treatment with maximum efficiency.
Real Fonk blends several strong elements : a short lively vocal, a trumpet on the drops and a piano carrying all the track. Not to forget the very groovy bassline ! Un hot, dynamic and made for the club track.
Piano Call is a dancefloor-orientated number, with its French touch-influenced filtered bassline, impressive piano, jazzy sax and a cool vocal (from an answering machine) holding these elements together. Unstoppable.
Time for groove put the dancers in the mood for party, with a cheering crowd in the background, reminiscent of live sessions in a jazz club. The French producer once again perfectly blend the element which make the EP’s identity – piano, bass guitar and trumpet – ending the party the grooviest way.
