Among the shows announced today are world-class DJ sets from 2manydjs invite Éclair Fifi & Erol Alkan, Bonobo, Eliza Rose, and CC:DISCO!, plus stunning live performances from Sevdaliza, Oneohtrix Point Never, TOMMY CASH, Shygirl presents ‘ClubShy’, and Tiga & Hudson Mohawke present ‘Love Minus Zero’.

• This first announcement includes a never-before-seen set from Belgian duo 2manydjs with special guests Éclair Fifi and Erol Alkan; plus floor-filling DJ sets from major international artists like Bonobo, Eliza Rose, and CC:DISCO!; and genre-defying live performances from Sevdaliza, Oneohtrix Point Never, TOMMY CASH, Shygirl presents ‘ClubShy’, Tiga & Hudson Mohawke present ‘Love Minus Zero’, and Wata Igarashi, amongst others. Sónar’s focus on local scenes is also reflected, with a quartet of artists from Portugal announced today: Chima Isaaro, Moullinex + GPU Panic, Supa b2b Ghetthoven, and XEXA.

• These are just the first names from amongst the dozens of shows that will fill Parque Eduardo VII next March: there’ll be many more artists announced very soon.

• Sónar by Day will once again feature indoor and outdoor stages at Pavilhão Carlos Lopes, as well as a full Sónar+D programme. This year, Sónar by Night will be concentrated entirely within Pavilhão Carlos Lopes for two nights of non-stop music.

• Sónar Lisboa 2024 will also act as a preview for Sónar 2024, offering a first look at some of the artists and exclusive shows that will appear in Barcelona on the 13th, 14th and 15th of June 2024. There’ll be more news on the Sónar 2024 lineup coming soon.

Sónar Lisboa returns to the heart of the Portuguese capital for its 3rd edition. On the 22nd, 23rd and 24th March 2024, Parque Eduardo VII will once again host two days and two nights of music, creativity and technology. Once again, Sónar Lisboa 2024 will feature both Sónar by Day (23rd and 24th March) and Sónar by Night (22nd and 23rd March) programmes, with an improved layout designed to improve the user experience. Pavilhão Carlos Lopes will once again host a mix of indoor and outdoor stages for Sónar by Day, and there’ll also be a full Sónar+D programme, open to all Sónar by Day and Full Festival Pass ticket holders. More details will be announced soon. This year, Sónar by Night is entirely concentrated in the Pavilhão Carlos Lopes’ indoor stage, with non-stop music all night long, from dusk until dawn. Following on from an epic session at Sónar 2023, Belgian duo 2manydjs will headline Sónar Lisboa 2024 with another unprecedented, never-seen-before set, this time sharing the booth with a pair of colourful, eclectic UK DJs, Glasgow’s Éclair Fifi and London stalwart Erol Alkan. They’re joined on the lineup by another longtime friend of Sónar, Bonobo, who’ll explore his wide range of influences – from afrobeat and drum’n’bass to hip-hop and house – during an expansive DJ set.

Sónar Lisboa 2024 will also welcome a trio of female artists who blend club music with pop tendencies. Dutch-Iranian artist Sevdaliza will perform a genre-defying live set that blends experimental sonics with trip-hop and r&b. Another crossover star, UK rapper and r&b songwriter Shygirl, brings her new concept show ‘ClubShy’ to the Portuguese capital, translating her provocative and tender tracks to the dancefloor. They’re joined by 2023 breakout artist Eliza Rose, who’ll show off her deep knowledge of UK garage and house during a euphoric DJ set.
Portugal’s vibrant local scene will be heavily represented across Sónar by Day and Sónar by Night. One of Lisboa’s best-kept secrets, digger and selector Chima Isaaro, is joined today by a pair of potent local live acts. XEXA’s fourth world soundscapes draw on both afrofuturism and her own São Toméan heritage, while Moullinex + GPU Panic offer a mix of airy electronica and dreamy synthpop. Rounding out today’s announcement is a back-to-back from multidisciplinary Porto duo Supa and Ghetthoven. There’ll be plenty more local artists – emergent and established – announced very soon.

This year’s lineup will feature a heavy dose of deep, transportative music aimed at the dancefloor, with deep techno aficionada Laura BCR and a live set from Japanese psychedelic techno maestro Wata Igarashi, who lit up Sónar by Night in Barcelona this past June.
A pair of cult artists also join the lineup: US producer Oneohtrix Point Never, who’ll bring his latest album Again to the stage at Sónar Lisboa, exploring the all-consuming relationship music has with its own past; and always-unpredictable Estonian hip-hop artist and countercultural icon TOMMY CASH.

Similarly exploring the relationship between past, present and future, Hudson Mohawke and Tiga’s collaborative live AV project Love Minus Zero reconfigures the concept of the rave for a 21st century audience. Hailing from Colombia via Manchester, Florentino’s DJ sets mix latinx rhythms with music from the UK bass and hardcore continuum. Other fresh, hybrid takes on club music will come from Berlin’s ‘genre-fluid’ selector DJ Gigola and punk-inspired UK drum’n’bass agitator Grove.

After dazzling at Sónar by Night in Barcelona earlier this year, Lisbon-based Australian selector CC:DISCO! will play a homecoming set: expect, disco, boogie, house, funk and beyond. The final name announced today is rising producer Mona Yim, who’ll play a DJ set that mixes bumping tech-house, hyperpop and 2-step.

These are just the first names to be announced from a lineup that will feature dozens of names from emerging Portuguese talent and underground icons, to established international headliners and experimental performers. More artists will be announced very soon, as well as additional details on the venues and the Sónar+D programme.
