Your new single ‘ICE’ was released a few days ago, congrats! Can you tell us more about how you made it?
Oh thank you so much! Here the story is a bit funny because I wasn’t sure about the release of this track. So while I was in the studio with a very good friend of mine and I was showing him some new tracks as soon as he heard “ice” he told me that this should definitely come out…
Glad we got it out !
How has being from Greece inspired your music and organising parties across the country?
I love music and its entertainment so much, that’s why I started creating my own events to be exactly how I wanted them ( well organised productions). I’ll give you a simple example, since I was little when I used to go to clubs I was waiting for this moment, when the DJ would play electronic music and I was sure that one day I would be in that position.
What were your early inspirations that helped you decide to make electronic music?
Even though I started in Greece, where electronic music is not so (recognised), I have always been a follower of it. The artists who particularly inspired me and boosted me into dj’ing but also in music production was Erick Morillo, David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia and many more.
What do you do when equipment goes on strike?
It’s definitely a part of our job, that we do not even want to think about it. Of course, it has happened to me once. The one cdj stopped and luckily the resident dj played with laptop & controller so we played back2back . I couldn’t do anything else at that moment, but enjoy it.
How do you handle music requests?
I try to be polite especially when the requests are “out of topic” haha
Is it even possible to argue about musical tastes?
Of course not, I appreciate all kinds of music.
Which track would run when you moved into your boxing match?
Steve Angelo “Show Me Love” for sure, an all time favourite classic track.
Describes your sound to someone who has never heard it before.
That’s easy – drums, energy and feelings.
Do you have any good tour stories from clubs or festivals?
The previous day I was at another gig and I woke up an hour before the flight. I was lucky though because of a flight delay but this had an impact on arriving to my next destination exactly on my time set, stressed and nervous. Surprisingly I had the time of my life in this event.
What would you do if you weren’t a musician?
I have never thought about it because music is extremely related with my life. So if I weren’t a musician I would surely be someone who wants to become one haha.
Which style of music should have the most followers? And why?
Every style of music is art and unique. I can’t say that only one or a couple of the genres should be more likeable. I can say though that music is the answer to our problems.
What is the most important musical equipment invention of all time – and why?
I’ll say the piano, because the emotions its melodies can create, are magical.
What would you advise to become a professional?
JUST GO FOR IT !!
