Kelly Lee Owens today releases ‘Love You Got’ – the first taste of her highly anticipated forthcoming new album ‘Dreamstate’ – via dh2.

Serving up a cathartic slice of techno, ‘Love You Got’ is an adrenaline-fuelled, dance floor anthem which throbs with an undercurrent of spirituality. The single builds on the rich, self-assured sonic blueprint that Owens has established, marrying ethereal pop melodies with deep, nuanced techno and weightless synth pads, and is an exciting indication of a new musical chapter for Owens.

Talking about the single Kelly said, “Love You Got was born out of the curiosity of discovering my own inner euphoria – balancing the dark & the light within myself to find ultimate bliss in connection with others”

The new single is taken from Owens’ fourth studio album, ‘Dreamstate’, which is due to be released on the 18th October. The new album will be her first released at new label home dh2 – a brand new electronic music imprint at renowned independent label Dirty Hit being spearheaded by George Daniel of The 1975.

There’s an incredible feeling of freedom and escapism found throughout Kelly’s upcoming album ‘Dreamstate’, born from the experience of inner evolution.. It’s the sound of a person letting loose and letting go while encouraging everyone else to do the same. ‘Dreamstate’ is built on the foundations of collaboration, with producer-writer credits from Bicep, Tom Rowlands from The Chemical Brothers and George Daniel.

Kelly Lee Owens broke out with the release of her acclaimed self-titled debut in 2017, collaborations with St. Vincent, Bjørk and Jon Hopkins and her lauded follow up album, ‘Inner Song’, released during the pandemic in August 2020, and LP8. These records received critical acclaim from Pitchfork, Guardian and Rolling Stone with NME describing Inner Song as “an emotive-yet-euphoric collection that’s made for late-night reflection” that was “one of the most beautiful records of the year.”

‘Dreamstate’ will be performed over the coming months to different rapturous dancefloors across the globe, including at a recent Glastonbury set, a free show played alongside Caribou in a North Wales community centre accessible-to-all, tours supporting collaborators The Chemical Brothers and Bicep, and a gig playing Charli XCX’s PARTYGIRL takeover at Ibiza’s historic Amnesia nightclub with Boiler Room with more dates set to be announced soon.

Kelly will also be headlining the dh2 launch party at Brixton’s Phonox this evening with a DJ set alongside George Daniel, Oscar Farrell and TimFromTheHouse. You can find more info at www.dh2.co.
