Your new album ‘Cloud’ is releasing 16th August, congrats! Can you tell us more about how it came together?

Thank you! „Clouds“ is a very personal project for me. The album represents a journey, both musically and emotionally. I wanted to create a cohesive body of work that goes beyond just individual tracks, which is often the norm in electronic music today. The process was intense but incredibly fulfilling. Each track tells its own story, and together they form a map of my experiences and emotions.

How has being based in Hamburg inspired your music, and what do you think is great about the local electronic music scene?

Hamburg has a vibrant and diverse music scene that has definitely influenced my work. The city is a melting pot of cultures, and you can hear that in the music that comes out of here. There’s a real openness and willingness to experiment, which has allowed me to blend different styles like Deep House and Indie Dance. The local electronic music community is supportive and always pushing boundaries, which I think is fantastic.

What shows do you have coming up to share with our readers?

I’m excited to announce a couple of upcoming shows! On September 21st, I’ll be performing at Kommune Open Air in Bayreuth, which promises to be an amazing festival experience. Later in the year, on December 11th, I’ll be at the Planetarium in Hamburg, offering a unique and immersive performance. My tour manager is currently working on additional bookings, and we plan to tour with the album in several cities. Stay tuned for more details as we finalize the tour schedule!

What were your early inspirations that helped you decide to make electronic music?

My journey into electronic music began with a curiosity about the world around me. As a child, I was always fascinated by sounds and how they could tell stories. This eventually led me to discover electronic music, where I felt I could best express my own stories and experiences through melodies and rhythms.

What are your musical influences from childhood?

As a child, I was deeply fascinated by the freedom and movement of clouds, which is what inspired the title of my album. I was also influenced by the diverse music my parents played at home, ranging from classical to world music. These early experiences have definitely shaped my approach to creating music that feels expansive and emotionally resonant.

What do you do when equipment goes on strike?

When the equipment fails, I stay calm and try to figure out what’s wrong. Everyone usually tries to help, but it’s important to keep your cool. Sometimes, you can even turn it into a positive moment by singing a song with the audience. It’s all part of making music.

How do you handle music requests?

I appreciate music requests because they give me insight into what the audience is feeling. However, I always try to stay true to my set and the vibe I’m creating. If a request aligns with that, I’m happy to play it, but I also believe in guiding the audience through a musical experience rather than just responding to demands.

Is it even possible to argue about musical tastes?

I think musical taste is incredibly personal, and while it’s natural to have different opinions, I don’t believe in arguing over them. Music resonates with people in different ways, and that’s what makes it so powerful. It’s more about finding common ground or appreciating the diversity of tastes.

Which track would run when you moved into your boxing match?

For a boxing match, I’d pick something epic that really gets the heart rate up and puts me in a focused, intense state. I’d choose a track with powerful, driving beats that energize both me and the audience. Hans Zimmer has some incredible compositions that fit this vibe perfectly—his music often has that epic quality that can elevate the whole experience.

Describes your sound to someone who has never heard it before.

My sound is a blend of Deep House, Indie Dance, and Melodic House. It’s emotional and melodic, with a focus on creating powerful, moving tracks that connect with the audience on a deeper level. I love to combine different elements to create something that feels both fresh and familiar.

Do you have any good tour stories from clubs or festivals?

Touring is always an adventure, and there are so many stories! One of the most memorable experiences was meeting Quiet&Listen in a club, which led to our collaboration on the track „Circle.“ It’s moments like these, where you connect with like-minded artists, that make touring so special.

What would you do if you weren’t a musician?

If I weren’t a musician, I’d probably be involved in some other form of creative expression, like photography or visual arts. I’m deeply inspired by the world around me, and I think I would find a way to channel that inspiration into another medium.

Which style of music should have the most followers? And why?

I don’t think any one style of music should dominate, as music is so diverse and everyone connects with different sounds. However, I do believe that music with a strong emotional core, no matter the genre, deserves a wide audience because it has the power to truly move people.

What is the most important musical equipment invention of all time – and why?

The synthesizer has been one of the most important inventions in music. It revolutionized how we create and think about sound, giving artists endless possibilities to explore and innovate. The ability to craft entirely new sounds has had a profound impact on music, especially in the electronic genre.

What would you advise to become a professional?

My advice for anyone looking to become a professional musician is to stay true to your vision and be patient. The industry can be tough, but passion and persistence will pay off. Surround yourself with supportive people, keep learning, and stay open to new ideas. Also, always keep moving and adapting to stay relevant and inspired. Embrace new opportunities and never stop exploring.
