MW:M Live 2024 is just around the corner, and our lineup is getting bigger and better! We’re thrilled to introduce more highlight acts from Germany and Europe that you can experience live on November 13 and 14 at the Kulturbrauerei Berlin.
MW:M Live showcases the captivating soundscapes of three artists who have made Berlin their creative home: The Allegorist, originally from Hungary, is deeply rooted in the Berlin underground scene, mesmerizing audiences with dark soundscapes and striking visuals.
Athenaïs blends poetic lyrics with improvised harmonies and field recordings. The French producer and singer hypnotizes with a unique mix of synth-pop, new wave, and psychedelic rock.
SCHRAMM, who swapped his hometown of Wuppertal for the vibrant atmosphere of Berlin, brings dark wave and indie rock sounds to the stage, laced with biting irony and German lyrics.
This year, LISTEN TO BERLIN is once again showcasing promising talents from the capital. Singer-songwriter Donata gained recognition as a co-founder of the acclaimed indie-pop duo NOSOYO. Since 2022, the Berlin-based artist has been performing solo and has already played over 50 concerts–now you can catch her live at MW:M! Also on stage is the freshly formed band Schnieke, featuring three musicians from Turkey who have found their musical home in Berlin. And composer, multi-instrumentalist, and singer King Josephine, internationally known for her radio chartbreaker „Shitty Wine,“ shares musical stories about love, racism, mental health, and queerness on the stage of MW:M Live.
Pop-Büro Region Stuttgart introduces two more acts from the Länd: Dews Pegahorn and jules. The songs of Dews Pegahorn read like the musical diary entries of a young man describing his life as a danceable manic depression. On a more hopeful note, the music of jules radiates positivity. The 24-year-old from Stuttgart, inspired by the punk pop of the 2000s, humorously describes herself as a „wannabe rockstar in a pop girly’s body.“
We’re also excited to welcome musical talents from Leipzig: The Verein für Popkultur presents 25-year-old singer and producer OKAYALEX. Alongside bassist Malte Herbst and drummer Epaminondas Karachalios, she performs a blend of dream pop, synth pop, and indie. VUT-Ost showcases musician, producer, and sound designer Friedrich „Fritz“ Brückner, aka Modus Pitch. In his latest album, he masterfully combines diverse styles like jazz, new age, dub, and post-punk.
And last but certainly not least: HOTS (Hungarian Oncoming Tunes) presents the soulful electro-pop of artist OIEE to the MW:M audience, along with the band Kaktus, who create a distinctive sound with massive synthesizers, complex drum and percussion grooves, and samples twisted into the unknown. With Izzy and the Black Trees, presented by Music Export Poland, raw punk energy collides with loud psych guitar riffs and captivating songwriting.
