Can you tell us about your background and how you got into music?

My musical journey started at the age of five when I began learning the piano. However, my dream of having a grand piano was quickly dashed by my mom’s refusal to buy one. We lived in a tiny apartment, and I was too young to understand the financial side of things. So, instead, I got a keyboard. Let’s just say the sound was, well, far from ideal. Of course, I never thought to hook up some good speakers to it back then. And the feel of the keys was… kind of „fake.“ So, I quickly gave up on the piano and switched to dancing. Moving to music instead of playing it—looking back, that makes sense, right?

Music then stayed with me through dancing. Later, I wrote song lyrics and sang for other artists. But I really got into electronic music only later in my high school years. We were always out partying, and House music was basically the soundtrack of our lives. Techno came later, but when it did, it hit me hard. In 2016, I started DJing through my network, and a few years after that, I began playing around with music programs myself.

Who are your biggest musical influences? How have these influences shaped your sound and approach to music production?

I came from a “TechHouse community” … but I was determined to play Techno – that was my thing. And if you were looking for me at Berghain, you could definitely find me on the main floor. Later, when I finally had the freedom to choose the parties and the music, Techno was, of course, always at the top of my list. Back then, I was more into the “softer” side of Techno – like Enrico Sangiuliano and Maceo Plex; this was definitely my style when I was DJing. But over time, my sound has evolved into a faster and harder Techno style with a lot of acid sounds. Artists like ASYS, Kai Tracid, and T78 are my go-to inspirations, shaping my love for hard-hitting, energetic Techno with their iconic acid sound.

What has been the highlight of your career so far?

My career has been filled with unforgettable moments, but there are a few that really stand out. Playing at Airbeat One in 2023 was absolutely mind-blowing. The size of the stages, the atmosphere—everything was just on another level. Another unforgettable experience was Garbicz in Poland. The energy, the crowd, and the vibe there are truly unmatched.

One moment that stands out on a personal level was performing at „Ein Tag am Strand“ by Paul van Dyk last year. It was such a surreal experience to play for an audience that includes so many ravers from the ’90s who are still so passionate about techno culture. I’m also excited to be returning to this event in June 2024. Additionally, the Rave the Planet Parade in 2024 was another surreal experience. It felt incredible to be part of such a historic moment, celebrating the culture that has inspired me for so many years. I remember when I was younger, my parents didn’t want me to attend the Love Parade because they thought it was full of „crazy people.“ Well, Mom and Dad, now I’m playing on the trucks myself!

Another highlight I’m really looking forward to is my upcoming gig in February with Teenage Mutants—I have no doubt it’s going to be amazing.
On top of that, I was thrilled to release music on some incredible labels last year that work with well-known names in the scene. What’s also been deeply rewarding is seeing the progress toward more equality in the music industry. More female and FLINTA DJs are making waves, and this shift is truly inspiring. I still remember when Zug der Liebe aimed to support female DJs and gave me the opportunity to perform at the Afterparty in Polygon back in 2018. That gig made me so happy, and it’s amazing to see how the movement continues to grow. I’m proud to contribute to this evolution by actively booking LGBTQIA+ talent for some of my events. Alongside my good DJ friend Sika Akis, we’re hosting monthly FLINTA parties at Der Weiße Hase, a club in Berlin’s RAW area. The Weiße Hase has become very important to me. I absolutely love the community there.

Do you have any good stories to share?

A memorable story was the Sisyphos gig in 2022 at the Hammahalle. I had four hours for the closing set, from 6 to 10 AM. At that time, the floor is usually only half full, but when I really went for it, the crowd went wild. They were jumping on the platforms, screaming, dancing, just giving it their all. The energy was so intense that I was asked if I could play longer. Unfortunately, I could only extend for another hour because I had a festival gig the same day. But that moment will stay with me forever. Thank you, everyone, for that! Oh, and the necklace with the energy stone that someone gave me back then—I still wear it, and it accompanies me to almost every gig. Whenever I start doubting myself about whether I can deliver a good set for the crowd, I touch the stone and remind myself that I’ve definitely got this. I wear other gifts too. These memories of beautiful moments from the parties give me so much energy and motivation for the next gig.

Can you share some of the challenges you’ve faced in your career and how you overcame them?

One of my biggest challenges has been dealing with depression, lack of focus, and motivation. For a long time, it felt like I was trapped in this fog, unable to focus or find the energy to move forward. It was a constant battle, and there were days when it felt like the weight of everything would crush me. The world seemed distant, and even the things I loved felt out of reach. But over time, I’ve learned to manage these feelings better. It’s been a slow and difficult journey, but I’ve come to realize that these moments don’t define me. I’ve found strength in art—whether it’s music, acting, writing, reading, painting, or especially dancing. Every form of creative expression has been a lifeline, pulling me out of the darkness and reminding me of the power I have within me. Music has always been my constant companion through those tough times, but all these art forms have given me an outlet to channel my emotions and find a way to heal. They remind me that even in the darkest moments, there’s always something I can turn to. It’s not about being perfect or having all the answers, but about showing up, even when it’s hard. And that’s what keeps me going, what keeps me moving forward.

How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard your music?

My sound is relentless and unapologetically energetic. It’s Acid. It’s Techno. Driving, peak-time, and crafted to keep the energy flowing non-stop. Every track is designed to hit hard, energize the crowd, and bring a sense of connection on the dancefloor.

What would you be doing if you weren’t a musician?

If I weren’t a musician, I’d still stay connected to art. Creating meaningful experiences that make people happy is what drives me. Artists channel emotions and ideas that others can’t or won’t express, providing relief and connection. What I do gains meaning from the feedback I receive—it means so much to know I’ve created something that resonates deeply with others. It’s about offering freedom, opening spaces for others to explore and feel understood, whether through music, writing, or any other medium. That’s what makes it all worthwhile.

Can you walk us through your creative process when writing and recording a new track?

It’s different every time. Sometimes I just play around with sounds, and suddenly the ideas come. Everything that was once chaotic suddenly makes sense. Then there are melodies, lyrics, sounds in my head – they need to come out. I build the track around those ideas. Other times, I have tracks I love. I take sounds, melodies, or vocals out and build around them. The key is making sure it works well in my set and the transitions feel smooth to me.

Can you tell us about any upcoming projects or collaborations you’re working on?

I’ve got exciting new EPs dropping this year, with the labels still to be confirmed. I’ve been working on a House track that’s taken me in a fresh direction, and I’m exploring how to refine it for release. This year, I’ll be sharing stages with some huge names, and I’m excited to see where it all leads. Big things are coming!
